S3, Inc. is a woman owned small business founded in 1991, headquartered in Huntsville, AL, that provides technical, programmatic, and logistics services to US Department of Defense, other US Government Agencies, and Partner Nation militaries, co-located with Government requirements. S3 has a wholly owned subsidiary, KBFS, that provides aviation pilot training, heavy lift, aircraft maintenance, and related aircraft services to Government and commercial requirements IAW multiple FAA certifications.
S3 Inc. is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Generalist for our corporate office in Huntsville, Alabama.
Position Description: The HR Generalist's primary responsibility is to ensure that the company strictly adheres to all local, state, and federal labor laws, regulations, and policies including, but not limited to, FLSA, Title VII, EEO, ADA, ADEA, GINA, USERRA, VEVRA, Affirmative Action, and EO 11246. Serves as an integral member of the HR Department supporting company HR Manager and functioning as Deputy in his absence.
Creates, maintains, and ensures legal compliance of the required employment records and associated documentation supporting federal contract requirements for resumes, job titles, and job descriptions of direct and indirect employees. Operates in compliance with formal Quality Management System, with metrics, and continuous improvement to policies and procedures, as governed by ISO 9001/AS9100.
Performs an annual review of corporate job titles, definitions, position descriptions and salary bands. Evaluates employee job title assignments for compliance to requirements. Identifies requirements and rationale for job titles/sub-family changes and additions. Coordinates with external vendor to analyze company job titles and job salaries for compliance with OFCCP, GSA, DCCA, DOL federal compliance requirements. Evaluates federal contract Labor Category requirement compliance in resumes.
Other HR duties as assigned.
- With a Bachelor's degree, must have 12 years of full-time experience in an HR role, with at least 6 years of that experience being with a government defense contractor.
- With a High School diploma, must have at least 16 years of experience in an HR role, with at least 10 years of that experience being with a government defense contractor.
- Must have at least 3 years of direct experience in an HR role that developed and analyzed job titles and job descriptions at the corporate level for a Federal contractor, and, at least 3 years of experience with quality control of resume compliance to construct labor category requirements.
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or a High School Diploma and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree, defined as four years of full-time employment in an HR role.
Security Clearance Required: Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Certifications/Licenses: SHRM CP/SCP or HRCI PHR/SPHR certifications highly desired.
