Title: Operations Manager
Compensation: $47,840 - $52,457.60 annually DOQ
Direct reporting to: Division Manager
This position is classified as: Salary, Exempt; Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Varied hours - 6am - 4pm typical schedule. Some evening, weekends shifts, as needed.
Objectives
To manage the warehouse operations teams (in both dry and freeze warehouses) in running an efficient Shipping & Receiving Department in order to process, store, and ship products accurately and safely. Purchasing and receiving product (replenishment).
Responsibilities
• Maintains an orderly shipping area.
• Creates daily/weekly scheduling for crew.
• Meet all deadlines for loading/unloading shipping containers.
• Receive incoming freight to inventory system.
• Supervise order pickers and physical receiving
• Perform weekly and monthly building inspections.
• Warehouse cleanliness, safety and safety compliance.
• Fulfills receiving and shipping schedule requirements.
• Maintains maintenance schedule on trucks and equipment.
• Inventories and keeps track of tools and equipment as needed.
• Regularly reviews inventories of supplies and places orders for replenishment.
• Maintaining an accurate on-hand inventory in the distribution center through cycle counts, physical inventories, and adjustments in the computer program.
•Other Duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
This position requires lifting cases weighing from 20-60 pounds repeatedly throughout the work day; as well as loading, pushing and pulling heavy product. Bending, reaching and squatting throughout the shift while loading and moving products.
Minimum Requirements
• Clean MVR.
• Current Forklift certification.
• Class A CDL license preferred but not required.
• Current Alaska Drivers license.
• DOT card or willing to obtain immediately.
•Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
•Must be able to run a crew of up to 30 employees.
•Must be able to work in a faced paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively; written, verbal, and electronic.
• Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel.
• Effective written and oral communication skills; demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
• 2-3 year's working knowledge of distribution/warehouse operations, inventory, and management.
