Cost Accounting Manager

Summary/Objective

This position will be responsible for providing support to, and management over, the General Ledger team during month end close including fixed asset management, financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes for multiple divisions and companies of DBM Global, Inc. and subsidiaries. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities described below.

Essential Functions
Ability to supervise multiple staff members and ensure the following: Work is properly allocated, Team responsibilities are completed timely and accurately, Personnel issues are appropriately addressed in a timely fashion (i.e. conflict resolution, performance issues, etc.). General accounting functions include the following: Performing the close process, Preparing and reviewing journal entries, Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, Preparing income statement analysis, Preparation and oversight of bank reconciliations, Assist in the formulation and preparation of monthly and annual reporting requirements Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits. Responsible for various general ledger duties for one or more divisions/companies which can include, but is not limited to the following: Carrying out an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close. Ability to maintain and oversee Fixed Assets and associated schedules. Analyze total corporate expenses, including comparisons to forecasted and budgeted results. Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits. Ability to work both independently and as a team to improve processes and increase efficiency. Ability to analyze issues and recommend, present, and implement potential solutions. Ability to learn new General Ledger and Financial Reporting systems. Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative and potentially time sensitivetasks as needed for the accounting team. ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Education/Training

Bachelor's Degree from an AACSB accredited college or university in Accounting. CCIFP is highly desirable along with ongoing continuous education in construction finance and/or accounting standards. CMA/CPA/CIA is also desirable.

Work Experience

At least five to ten (3-5) years of related experience, including Supervisory experience of exempt level accounting professionals.

Software & Technology

Position will require the frequent use and knowledge of MS Windows 7 and/or MS Windows 10, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook. CGC/AS 400 or similar accounting/fixed asset system; ERP system software (MS Dynamics AX) or applicable software, Kronos TKS or comparable software; Concur or applicable travel expense software.

Work Environment

Position may require extended hours in order to fulfill the obligations of the accounting department. Working long days including evenings and weekends can be required for this role - specifically for month-end, quarter-end and year-end periods.
