This person will assist the restaurant teams by providing timely and accurate financial information. He/she enjoys data analytics, solving financial based problems, and working with restaurant leadership to improve financial outcomes.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES




  1. Prepare monthly financial statements (Income Statement and Balance Sheet)




  2. Review daily sales imports, reconcile credit card settlements, research credit card or cash related discrepancies




  3. Record journal entries for inventory, payroll, labor accruals, etc.




  4. Process online gift card purchases




  5. Weekly bank reconciliations




  6. Sales tax reporting




  7. Maintain current licenses and permits




  8. Monthly statement review




  9. Attend monthly meetings to review Income Statement




  10. Research financial information, as requested, to support operational efficiencies; assist home office and restaurants with adhoc reporting or special projects




  11. Annual 1099 preparation




  12. Assist Accounts Payable as necessary



  13. Other duties as assigned


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (will consider other business degrees)

  • Zero to two years relevant accounting/finance experience

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Familiarity in financial statement review and reconciliation, core accounting areas, and internal controls

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English for professionally managing diverse duties and staff

  • Ethical demeanor capable of preserving confidentiality

  • Ability to maintain a pleasant, polite demeanor and attitude for interacting with public as well as staff

  • Ability to take direction and participate as part of a team to complete common goals under tight deadlines

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public
