The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients. As a professional nurse, the nursing process is utilized in the provision of care. The RN practices within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards.

A7 is a 14-bed unit where patients receive comprehensive medical care for a variety of general medical surgical conditions. Remote telemetry is available for patients who are presenting with clinical cardiac concerns. We also provide pre/postoperative care as well. The patient population ranges from young adult to geriatric.
Specialty nursing skills utilized on this unit allows for patient and family centered care with the patient as the primary focus. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach allows a partnership between healthcare providers and the patient and families designed to meet individual spiritual, emotional, psychosocial and medical needs encountered with the diagnoses.
Required Experience: RN License, 1 year of registered nursing experience, excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.
Preferred Experience: National Certification; BSN or MSN; 2 or more years of nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in an acute care hospital setting a plus. Current BLS.
