The Manufacturing Trainer is responsible for conducting, facilitating, scheduling and documenting manufacturing training. Manages training program in accordance with business needs and regulatory requirements. Communicates with leadership team to assess and develop training needs for the manufacturing team including the cell culture technicians. Plans training schedules and conducts training as needed. Analyzes and resolves work issues and problems as related to training and assists employees in solving work problems as related to training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and administer the onboarding process for all new hires
Analyze training needs to develop and improve skill set of all manufacturing employees
Coordinate supplemental training based upon department needs
Assist with the development of program curriculum, materials, and assessments.
Maintain program materials such as cases studies, presentations, training videos, and supplies.
Maintain training records for each employee on an ongoing basis and update in Training Matrix accordingly.
Monitor work instruction changes in the manufacturing process so training content and assessments reflect current processes
Evaluate and regularly report the effectiveness of training and development programs using data and KPIs. Revise or recommend changes in instruction or delivery methods to improve the effectiveness of the program.
Ensure inclusion of regulatory requirements such as GMP Documentation, cleanroom behavior, cGMP/ISO, and laboratory safety
Facilitates the selection of on-the-floor trainers within the manufacturing team
Collaborates with the Manufacturing Sciences and Technology Team to identify and schedule technical training as required covering development, delivery and documentation
Coordinates training related to Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives.
Experience leading Training programs in a manufacturing operations environment
Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to develop and maintain business/technical documentation
2+ years of experience in a cGMP environment
Experience in Cell Culturing and/or Aseptic Technique in an ISO 5 Environment
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and skills, Cell Culture basics, contamination control, and clean room behavior
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Proficient with EtQ Reliance (training module) or comparable software application
Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Competent in handling multiple tasks with attention to detail, and perform duties with minimal supervision
Must have a high level of diplomacy and ability to relate and interact with personnel at all levels
Education and/or experience
BA or BS in Science or equivalent
Working knowledge of cGMP and GDP
