Growing manufacturing company in Mira Mesa has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to, the following:
•Coordinates and oversees the analysis test, documentation, release and/or distribution functions for planning and installation of new released products, processes and manufacturing projects to function in a Lean manufacturing environment.
•Is in direct liaison with the engineering department project managers for support and recommendations on defined sequences for production operations, and equipment and tooling requirements in the release of new products to manufacturing.
•Determines operations required to produce released or re-designed products and develops processes to ensure manufacturability, quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met for the current and lean manufacturing process.
•Represents Operations or Manufacturing Engineering in cross-functional and inter-unit projects.
•Understands the core competencies and actively pursues improving the underlying science and maintaining the discipline of standardized process improvement.
•Examines equipment, processes, operations, and assembly to determine time or quality revisions and suggests improvements.
•Applies known technology and processes that further improve overall manufacturing quality and consistency.
•Develops methods for inspection, testing, sampling, and training in the Production environment.
•Performs engineering work related to planning, devising, or adapting methods to improve manufacturing.
•Uses computer-aided drafting and other document processing software to develop layouts, drawings and designs that meet Engineering and Manufacturing specifications.
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, instructional and procedure manuals or governmental regulations.
•To write reports, business correspondence, in depth forensic failure analysis, testing procedures, assembly instructions, process procedures, instructional documents and procedure manuals.
•Manufacturing Engineer degree or equivalent is required.
•Proficient with MS Office, CAD Software, SolidWorks, and other document processing software.
