Greenheart Farms, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our dynamic team. We are seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Controller position at our Arroyo Grande Location. EOE/M/F/Vets/Disabled.
Overview:
The Assistant Controller will work with the Administrative Team to maintain the company's financial processes in compliance with GAAP. This position will also provide support to the management team as needed.
The Assistant Controller will focus on areas requiring immediate attention. The initial focus for this position is to lead in the completion of a full use, stand-alone maintenance software, then subsequently work with long term team members to identify and implement a new ERP system by studying the existing processes of various products. The Assistant Controller will also assist with reviewing the existing cost system for improvements and integration into an ERP system.
Essential Responsibilities:
Accounting Functions
• Maintenance Software Management.
• Assist with implementing an ERP system to streamline processes.
• Ensure accuracy, effectiveness of inventory control, related cost accounting and month end close.
• Thorough knowledge of all accounting procedures of the company.
• Thorough knowledge of existing accounting software.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reporting as needed.
• Assist in day-to-day administrative/accounting activities as needed.
• Oversee IT Support Company and budgeting for IT.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
• Strong analytical background required and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Bachelor degree in accounting Business Admin and 3+ years professional works experience. Agriculture or manufacturing experience desirable
• 3+ years of professional work experience in Financial Preparations and Month End Close capacity/including 1+ year(s) Supervisory experience
• Preferred experience implementing company-wide software
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint ,Outlook
• Desired experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP, DataTrack and ADP, Maintenance +
• High sense of pace and urgency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and team-oriented.
• Testing required in accounting and Excel
