The position is responsible for originating and leading Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. This position will support the Department in the areas of employee relations, HRIS, benefits and salary administration. Provides a broad range of HR support employees. Incumbent should have a general knowledge of company practices and policies and with staff and employees on a variety of employee relations issues. Requires incumbent to have knowledge of and administer multiple benefits, compensation, and employee relations policies specific to each affiliate organization supported. Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills combined with general knowledge of HR policies to triage employee questions appropriately. Handles multiple tasks concurrently while using good judgment prioritizing, balancing and organizing workload.
- 1.1 Support on-site Flu Vaccination Clinics
- Employee Relations
- 2.1 Interprets policies to employees and/or supervisors to assist management in formulating responses.
- 3.1 Responsible for providing support to users on Manager Self Service and Employee Self Service. Trouble shoots and resolves issues.
- 4.1 Assists in case management activities related to workers' compensation and disability claims.
- 5.1 Assist managers with maintaining and updating job descriptions as necessary.
Bachelors Degree in HR related field preferred.
New graduate or a minimum of 1 year in Human Resources with a working knowledge of Recruitment, HRIS, and/or Employee Relations required.
Candidate will demonstrate excellent customer relations, listening and writing skills. Must be able to communicate with compassion and courtesy. Excellent analytical and computer skills. Must have excellent PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database management. Should be familiar with utilizing internet to search and obtain information. Must have strong organizational skills and be able to work independently. Must be able to multitask and adjust priorities as needed. Must be able to travel to various satellite locations through-out Connecticut and be flexible with work schedule. Must be able to attend early morning and evening meetings.
