Instructional Systems Designer

Location: Orlando, FL

This position involves design of leading-edge courseware using Instructional Systems Design principles and adult learning theory.
Specific responsibilities include:
Design and develop highly interactive and immersive instruction that incorporates 2-D and 3-D models, avatars, and job performance tools Work with subject matter experts to develop lesson specification reports based on customer-furnished job and task data Develop and review learning objectives Develop learner performance metrics Develop digital storyboards that illustrate the flow of interactive courseware Work with subject matter experts to develop realistic scenarios that address learning objectives Work with subject matter experts and multimedia developers to identify 2-D and 3-D models and required fidelity levels Develop learner assessment documents containing knowledge-based questions, steps that learners must perform in the 3-D environment, and other assessment data Support and respond to Quality Assurance specialists during product reviews
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS degree in Instructional Systems Design, I/O psychology, Education, or a related field 2-5 years designing and developing web-based interactive courseware for adult learners Experience designing and developing interactive media instruction and instructor-led training Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams developing new technologies (e.g., software engineers) Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team US Citizenship
Any of the following would be a plus:
MA/MS degree in I/O psychology or advanced degree in a related field (Human Factors/Adult Education) Experience with learning and content management systems (LMS/CMS) Experience designing and developing game-based learning Experience designing and developing instruction for military or government personnelAll applicants must be willing to work onsite Monday through Friday (no telecommuting or compressed schedules).
