Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field

• Minimum Experience: Six (6) years of foreign exchange experience and direct customer sales/service experience

• Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

- Demonstrated ability to buy and sell in the foreign exchange markets with a high degree of accuracy

- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Proficient with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications

Additional Job information:

Contacts current customers to promote foreign exchange and works with relationship managers to identify foreign exchange prospects, cross sale opportunities, participate in sales calls to develop new business, and conducts foreign exchange day to day transactions to fulfill customer requests.

Job Description:

Job Summary:

Responsible for conducting foreign exchange transactions to fulfill customers' foreign exchange requirements. May trade in foreign currency for bank or customer portfolios.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Buys/sells currencies with liquidity providers in the foreign exchange markets. Trades with counter-party entities utilizing their internet trading systems or by telephone.

• Buys/sells currencies with customers. This includes buying or selling foreign currency for outgoing or incoming, wires, foreign currency drafts, foreign checks, letters of credit, documentary collections and customers' foreign currency accounts.

• Provides excellent customer support by responding to inquiries, providing rates, and assisting with procedural matters.

• Accurately enters trades in FX system and maintains reports.

• Contacts and works with technical support to maintain FX systems and ensure they are performing in an optimal manner.

• May take a position in FX currencies for Synovus.

• May help mentor, train and monitor work of lower level specialists.

• Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.

• Performs other related duties as required.
