As an intern in Micron's Business Unit Operational Excellence organization, you will be immersed in critical business projects. You will work as a contributing member of a project team, building solutions based on your own creative ideas with support from fellow team members and your supervisor. You'll also have the chance to collaborate with team members and senior leaders from other departments. Your internship will give you broad exposure to business analytics applications at Micron and the opportunity to contribute in one or more layers of the analytical stack


Projects: Automate monthly review of the Boundary Agreement and improve Product Development Team (PDT) Playbook


"Boundary Agreement" is the High-Level Scope Document including critical Product Specifications, Timelines, and Wafers needed for Development


"PDT Playbook" is a set of Business Processes providing a detailed description of the activities that are being executed during the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) phases


Responsibilities and Tasks:



  • Analyze and document the existing process to publish the Boundary Agreement report

  • Develop scripts to automate Boundary Agreement Reporting and highlight risks and other areas of focus.

  • Promote consistency of the Boundary Agreement structure across the entire Portfolio

  • Provide training, documentation, and support to end users (Program Managers) on new tools and methodologies

  • Work closely with Program Management team to expand PDT playbook to all aspects and needs of the PMO to become the "one-stop-shop" reference tool

  • Review current PDT Playbook and seek input from PMO Team to identify and implement improvement opportunities

  • Establish a periodic Review Process to audit and ensure Documentation is up to date

  • Ensure PDT Playbook clearly outlines step-by-step roles, responsibilities, and expectations for PDTs


Qualifications



  • Superb communication and problem-solving skills are required

  • Strong data visualization, aggregation, and analytical skills

  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint environment

  • Excellent programming fundamentals

  • Tableau, TeamCenter, and Python experience are a plus

  • Coursework in Project Management and/or Business Process Analysis is a plus but not required


Education


One year away from completing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or MBA (w/ prior Engineering background)
