Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions


Under administrative direction from the Chief of the Division of Environmental Health, performs highly technical work as a licensed Professional Engineer in planning, directing and coordinating several multiphase environmental health programs in the regional office. Supervises professional staff in the regional office.


Minimum Requirements: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years college with completion of a degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field. Requires certification as a Registered Professional Engineer. Requires prior experience equivalent to four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in Environmental Engineering. Requires thorough knowledge of local, state and federal environmental health and public health laws and regulations. Requires extensive knowledge of administrative procedure and management principals. Requires ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. Requires the ability to travel extensively within the State and the possession of a valid Illinois driver's license.


Work Hours & Location/Agency Contact: Full Range – $95,000 - $115,000 yearly
