A Regional Owner/Property Management Company is looking for a full-time leasing consultant with a minimum of three years' experience for apartment community located in Lafayette, IN. This person must have a positive attitude, love working with people and have excellent communication skills.
â¢ Showing apartments
â¢ Leasing apartments
â¢ Qualifying prospects
â¢ Preparing lease documentation
â¢ Complete move-in procedures
â¢ Generating and handling traffic
â¢ Addressing resident maintenance requests and other general office tasks.
â¢ Handling telephone and on-site traffic
â¢ Processing renewals
â¢ High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
â¢ Above average verbal, math and writing skills.
â¢ Fundamental understanding of sales techniques and public relations.
â¢ A willingness to follow directions and work within a group environment; be a team player.
â¢ Computer experience, including accurate skill in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
â¢ Property management software experience.
â¢ A car and valid driver's license is required.
â¢ Impeccable presentation skills. The ideal candidate will be organized, prepared and be able to overcome prospect's objections.
â¢ We expect you to provide an overall professional and positive environment for the residents of our apartment community.
â¢ The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of previous administrative, leasing, marketing and sales experience in residential property management.
â¢ This position is also responsible for complying with all state, federal and/or local laws relating to Fair Housing.
