A Regional Owner/Property Management Company is looking for a full-time leasing consultant with a minimum of three years' experience for apartment community located in Lafayette, IN. This person must have a positive attitude, love working with people and have excellent communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities include:
• Showing apartments
• Leasing apartments
• Qualifying prospects
• Preparing lease documentation
• Complete move-in procedures
• Marketing
• Generating and handling traffic
• Addressing resident maintenance requests and other general office tasks.
• Handling telephone and on-site traffic
• Processing renewals
Requirements/Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
• Above average verbal, math and writing skills.
• Fundamental understanding of sales techniques and public relations.
• A willingness to follow directions and work within a group environment; be a team player.
• Computer experience, including accurate skill in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Property management software experience.
• A car and valid driver's license is required.
• Impeccable presentation skills. The ideal candidate will be organized, prepared and be able to overcome prospect's objections.
• We expect you to provide an overall professional and positive environment for the residents of our apartment community.
• The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of previous administrative, leasing, marketing and sales experience in residential property management.
• This position is also responsible for complying with all state, federal and/or local laws relating to Fair Housing.
