Paige Hospitality Group is the management and marketing company for The Ainsworth brand. We are expanding rapidly throughout New York City and New Jersey as well as the Midwest and the South. Currently, we are seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to run the kitchen at the Ainsworth coming SOON to Leawood, Kansas. The ideal candidate requires very strong culinary and management background and skills, as well as creativity and excellent hygiene.
• MUST HAVE 4+ years of executive chef experience
• Management experience specifically related to labor costs, developing and pricing menus and scheduling
• Ability and stamina to work long hours/work weeks
• Must be innovative and must have a keen sense of smell and taste
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Must be persistent in checking freshness of food and ingredients
• Must work well as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment
• Must be engaging and interactive
• Responsible for food purchasing and cost control
• Order & maintain inventory of food and supplies
• Labor analysis

• Efficient kitchen scheduling
• Monitor and practice STRICT sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards
• Help to prepare meals in the kitchen and delegate work to other chefs and cooks during the restaurant's busy times
• Follow recipes and present food according to corporate recipe provided by our Executive Chef
• Plan and prepare special menu items
• Plating uniformity
• Supervise and manage all kitchen personnel including performance reviews, granting pay increases and taking disciplinary action when necessary
• Interview, hire and training new kitchen personnel; let go of personnel as you see fit for your kitchen and company standards
• Maintain equipment
• Oversee the clean-up and overall hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation of each kitchen
• Responsible for all food preparation and handling methods
• Assisting with long-term plans as they relate to our restaurant's cuisine and overall culinary experience
