RSS is looking for motivated individuals, from entry level to experienced, to join the QA/UX team. We are a small team, and every personâs work makes an important contribution. We believe in a cooperative, collaborative, and nimble approach to analyzing our software so that we can deliver a high-quality product to our customers. We spend a lot of time working independently, but we often ask each other for help and gladly provide it in return whenever asked. In addition, we often work across teams to brainstorm ideas and find the best solution to whatever problem we are working on. Whether we are all testing parts of the same feature or working on completely different projects, everyone on the QA/UX team is always working towards the team and company goals.
A typical week for one of us might include testing a newly coded feature and submitting defect reports for any problems found, testing fixes for previously identified defects, submitting a request for a change to the software that will improve the userâs experience, discussing the proposed design of a brand new feature with other members of the team at our weekly meeting, and helping a Customer Consultant troubleshoot a customer issue.
People who excel in this role love solving puzzles, learning about technology and sharing that knowledge with others, and working collaboratively with other people with varying levels of tech knowledge. Although a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is helpful, it is not necessaryâthe team currently includes members with degrees in areas ranging from Petroleum Engineering to Biology. Qualifications that are necessary include a high comfort level with technology, a love of learning, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities will include
Defect identification, verification, reporting, and tracking
Developing and executing test plans and reporting test results
Participating in design reviews
Designing automated tests and processes
This role does not involve travel.
Excellent analytical, diagnosis and problem resolution skills

Experience testing software
Experience with or desire to learn relational database systems
Familiarity with coding or scripting
Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field
Two or more years of professional experience
Familiarity with testing strategies and methodologies
Familiarity with User Experience principles and standards
Experience with Data Analysis
Experience with enterprise class financial software
