The primary function of the Maintenance Technician is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor in attending to the maintenance needs of the property and completing Make-Readys for efficient turnover. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and the Community/General Manager.
â¢ Process all resident service requests in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies and best practices.
â¢ Perform scheduled preventative maintenance duties and unit inspections.
â¢ Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete, masonry and landscaping items, as necessary.
â¢ Perform turnover of apartments, including cleaning, painting, and other repairs as necessary. Ensure ready
inventory of move-in ready units.
â¢ On-call responsibility, must be available for emergency calls after hours and on weekends and holidays.
â¢ All other duties as assigned.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to read and speak English and follow oral and written directions.
Experience in apartment maintenance preferred, or equivalent experience in building facilities maintenance. Must be able to pass the maintenance test, and demonstrate skills.
Must pass back ground and drug test.
Ability to work efficiently and independently.
