Maintenance Technician - Direct HireTo apply please contact Mike Webb at mike.webb@elwoodprofessional.comCOMPANY PROFILE:- The original company was founded in Seattle, Washington in 1947 and supplied the first plastic parts to The Boeing Company- Global market leader in plastics components and assemblies for aircraft interiors and also supply to the medical, aerospace and defense industries- This growing company currently has more than 1000 skilled employees, over 70 of which are degreed engineer- The company has eight operating facilities around the globe and is ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, and BAC5321 certifiedWHAT THIS COMPANY OFFERS YOU:- Competitive Health plan (Medical, Dental, Vision) and a 401K with a match EAP program- Annual bonus and tuition reimbursement- Relocation assistance available- Company sponsored employee events- The company is experiencing rapid growth and can offer career advancement and training opportunitiesTHE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Maintenance Technician- Assists in repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems for the industrial establishment- Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors, and adjusts mechanisms.- Cleans and maintains all machines and machine parts including shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.- Bends and cuts conduit and wire, and drills holes in walls, floors, and ceilings for electrical connections.- Connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses, and splices wire and insulates wire with friction tape.- Bends, cuts, and threads pipe, cuts openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes, and seals pipe joints with sealing compound.- Cuts out and joins parts for worktables, benches, shelves and other furnishings.- Maintains plumbing fixtures and systems.- Must be knowledgeable in the use of and able to safely operate machinery/tools including but not limited to: mill, lathe, band saw, drill press, chop saw, angle grinder, nibbler, power shears, and pneumatic tools.- Performs activities as they relate to ISO 13485:2003.BACKGROUND PROFILE: Maintenance Technician- Associates or Technical Degree- One year related experience or training- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence- Must be able to read blue prints and schematic drawings- Basic mathematic skills- Must have a valid driver's license and forklift permit- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsClick to apply online.
