In this role, you'll run the roost when it comes to the retail shop – from the cash stand to the toy displays and everything in between, you'll keep the shelves filled to the brim with our one-of-a-kind finds while making sure our guests are getting blue ribbon service. But, that's not all! You'll also get to welcome guests into the restaurant and ring the dinner bell (or, well... call their party) when it's time to eat! Whether you're helping a guest find the perfect gift for their mama's birthday or leading a Little League team to their table after a big win, you'll make sure every guest feels at home.
Responsibilities Performs guest service by accepting payment from guests, providing information about the store and acting in a manner that conveys the highest degree of hospitalityPerform both sales floor and cash stand responsibilities through a shift. Read and understand restaurant Guest checks. Understand the to-go order process and ring up Guest checks in a timely manner.Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Cracker Barrel Old Country StoreGreet guests in a friendly manner.Move between the cash stand and sales floor based on where the Guests are in order to meet their needs, with a sense of urgency.Performs guest service by greeting guests and seating all as promptly as possibleAlways greets guests in a warm, hospitable manner and arranges seating in the most organized fashionEnsures that all available tables are clean and properly preparedExhibits professional, sincere hospitality toward all guests at all time.Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example
To be successful in this role you must have a guest first attitude that exudes hospitality. You will need to be able to stand for long periods, carry up to 30 pound boxes, use creative solutions to solve guest concerns, and work effectively with co-workers and managers.
