This position is for a USA Regulatory Affairs Associate Scientist to partner with business and other parts of R&D, Legal and Supply Chain to help drive our US business objectives. The primary focus of this position is to provide regulatory guidance to the PepsiCo US beverage brands. This includes authoring ingredient statements, nutrition facts, allergens and 3rd party certification management and substantiation of claims.
The position will require a basic application of US Food and Drug Administration labeling regulations to assure the accuracy and regulatory compliance of ingredient statements, nutrition facts, allergen declarations and claims in databases, on artwork and in specifications. The position will involve work with computer systems. Outstanding attention to detail and a passion for proper processes and documentation, along with an innate desire to collaborate with others will be key to success in this role.
- BS in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Engineering or equivalent as a minimum
- 1-2 years of regulatory affairs experience required
- Knowledge of FDA food regulations
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Effective collaborator and works well with others
- Adept computer skills and database management
