Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand a temporary's skill set to enhance their qualifications for State government and private sector jobs. Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience to those who may ultimately seek permanent employment with the state.

Job Order Hourly rate of pay: $15.00 (Based on education and/or years of related work experience indicated on application) NOTE: "See Resume" is not acceptable to show work history.
Average 29 hours per work week
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, rotating shifts; Tuesday - Wednesday hours will be flexible)
1st Shift 6:45 am - 3:15 pm
2nd Shift 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm
3rd Shift 10:45 pm - 7:15 am
(HCT may be required to work additional hours as needed by a rotating duty day schedule. Positions are considered essential and employees are expected to work during adverse weather or emergency situations.)
These temporary positions will be assigned to the Department of Health & Human Services - DSOHF - Black Moutain Neuro Med Treatment Center. This unit provides comprehensive daily nursing support to the individuals residing at BMNTC populations; Specialized Dementia and Developmental Disabilities, five residential units regulated under CMS and following nursing organizational structure. Individuals residing at BMNTC have combative behaviors and/or acute conditions preventing accommodations within private community nursing homes. The HCT 1 provides critical direct service and care to individuals who reside at the facility. The HCT 1 is the primary person responsible for the implementation of individual care plan, personal care, transporting to and from activities, and supporting participation in activities Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

- Basic knowledge of nurse aide skills
- Ability to follow instructions, including are plans/or clinical orders
- Ability to provide personal care and nursing support and compassion
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school or General Educational Development diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Condition for Continued Employment: Listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
