Greets club members in a friendly and professional manner. Facilitates food service by assisting servers in taking all orders, beverage, appetizer, entrÃ©e, and dessert, in an accurate and efficient manner. Delivers all orders to the appropriate club member or visitor. Cleans tables, carry dirty dishes to the kitchen, replace soiled linens, set tables, replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes. Assists servers tableside and/or poolside when needed. Follow all customer service rules and guidelines. Follows the Clubâs dress and grooming policy. May not serve any alcoholic beverages if under 21 years of age.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Courses in food service methods would be helpful.
Must have knowledge of serving techniques and protocol. Knowledge of the proper table etiquette and setting arrangements is necessary.
Customer service experience in a Food and Beverage industry environment. Knowledge of all of the required steps to deliver exemplary customer service is strongly preferred.
Must have previous experience in a customer service position or in a position dealing with customer communication.
Previous Server experience in a professional environment is strongly desired.
Strong communication skills are essential. Must be organized and have a good memory. Should be methodical and have a strategy for taking and delivering orders in a timely and accurate manner. Must have the ability to listen to criticism and know how to deal with customers who are hard to get along with.
Knowledge of ClubTec or other point of sale system. Additional skills as line cook, dishwasher or specialty cook would be helpful.
Physical Demands/Work Environment Requirements
Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to walk while carrying heavy trays of food and dishes. May be required to exert up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally or lift heavy objects. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position as scheduled. May be required to stand for long periods of time.
Learning, thinking, concentration and the ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy times in the club. Must be able to multi-task waiting on more than one club member at a time. Must be able to remember which club member ordered which drink or meal. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service to all customers. Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary. Must be able to communicate judgment decisions to club members and co-workers when appropriate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and BASIC DUTIES
Maintains cleanliness of eating areas in compliance with Health & Safety, OSHA, and EPA to include but not limited to, tables, chairs, pool area, event areas, dining areas. Resets each table between customers events replacing linens, silverware, dishes, etc. Vacuums/mops floors, polishes shelves, counters, walls, furniture and equipment in food service area, removes trash. Also does all necessary preparation and breakdown for events.

The manual has been prepared to help assure that you deliver exemplary customer service to club members as well as guide you towards success.
Serves food and non-alcoholic beverages in dining areas, event areas, and the pool area of the club.
Stocks cabinets and serving areas with condiments and refills condiment containers as necessary.
Scrapes and stacks dirty dishes, and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.

Performs other functions in the kitchen area as needed.
