The Analytic Consultant 4 position is within the Channel Partnership and Customer Experience Root Cause Analytics team that supports Credit Operations Channel and Customer Interaction Analytics team (COCCIA). COCCIA includes credit operations analytics, channel partnership and customer interactions root cause analytics, sales practices analytics, business and quality control, central sales and FDR DAT.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Data Analysis and execution support for key business projects and strategic initiatives

  • Data analysis, mining and automation to support customer interactions analytics

  • Data quality and operations performance reporting

  • General data, reporting and analytics support around the Credit and Retail Services

  • Customer experience root cause analysis and customer remediation efforts

  • Ad-hoc analysis and execution support for business projects and strategic initiative

The successful candidate will possess a strong blend of technical and business problem solving skills with heavy focus on quality, accuracy, and business user interaction. They will have experience performing ad hoc analysis and production reporting.

Additionally, the Analytic Consultant 4 will:

  • Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, documenting, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) relative to the data elements, system, and reporting requirements from our support tools

  • Create both Operational and Executive Leadership Reports

  • Demonstrate the ability to confidently present analysis to leadership with recommendations and observations

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions to complex analytical questions

  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools

  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, business processes, applications and technologies

  • High level critical thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly recognize and resolve problems

  • Identify and prioritize reporting needs, act as a data expert covering specific topics and provide insight for senior leadership

  • Partner with line of business leaders, independently develop reporting based on LOB needs and research and present reporting

  • Specific experience with ACAPS, Provenir, FDR and/or related Credit Card data and processes

  • Working knowledge of and experience with Credit Card DataMart (SQL 144), EIW, BMG or other Wells Fargo Enterprise data marts

  • Data modeling and ETL experience

  • Experience with the Microsoft SQL Server and Tableau, and Reporting Services

  • Intermediate Teradata skills

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

  • Strong analytical and qualitative skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
