Learn more at www.summitcds.org.We are seeking a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Business Operations Director and the Human Resources Director. The selected individual will be responsible for the preparation and submission of the bi-weekly payroll, processing of invoices, and producing reports for management regarding earnings and benefits.Responsibilities and DutiesResponsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions.Maintain and update the electronic timekeeping system. Setup each employee, validate programs for each employee's charges, and adherence to FLSA.Ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; review changes for proper authorization and adherence to policies including compliance with federal/state/local regulations.Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, human resources, budget, accounting, finance and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.Maintains accurate 3rd party records and proactively resolves issues.Reconciliation:Reconciles month-end aging report with the general ledger and maintains files for capital purchases.Reconciles all medical insurance, COBRA, and WageWorks invoices.Reconcile payroll deductions with 3rd party statements related to health benefits and retirement plan contributions.Reporting:Prepares payroll and management reports, journal entries, workers compensation,EEO-1 reportsPerforms other duties as assigned.Qualifications and SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or at least 10 years of equivalent work experience in payroll.Minimum of 5 years’ accounts payables.Experience in Paycor, ADP, and/or using other payroll processing software is required.Basic knowledge of Federal, State and Local taxes and accounting best practices.Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Excellent written and oral communication.Must high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and problem resolution skills.Self-motivated team player who excels in a collaborative environment.Job Type: Full-timeRequired education:Bachelor'sRequired experience:Payroll: 5 yearsAccounts: 5 years
