POSITION SUMMARY


The Referral Coordinator acts as a multi-skilled employee responsible for caring for all patients and facilitating their follow-up care. Responsibilities include: learning and maintaining knowledge of community resources for referral and coordinating referrals with referring clinics and physicians. In addition, the referral coordinator will assist with training, job shadowing, rounding in clinic, and support peers with processing referrals for multiple clinics.


This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to "multi-task", to prioritize actions and to respond quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced and changing environment with multiple priorities.


QUALIFICATIONS


Experience



  • 1 year experience in healthcare or medical office setting

  • Working knowledge of office procedures.

  • Experience should include front desk responsibilities.

  • Able to operate fax machines, copiers, multi-line phones and computers such as PC and MS Windows.
