Schlaegle Design Build, a custom woodworking manufacturer is looking to hire a Project Manager. Schlaegle Design has been working with local clients such as General Electric, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Pittsburgh, Chatham University and UPMC and has exceeded expectations on many levels. SDBA uses the latest software and machines to aid in the manufacturing of custom cabinets, counters and fixtures. Regarding projects, we hold ourselves to extremely high standards from conception to completion.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Oversee and direct projects from conception to completionReview the project in-depth to schedule production and deliverablesCoordinate carpenters and subcontractorsMeet contractual conditions of performanceDaily work progress reviewsPrepare internal reports pertaining to job statusPlan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging onesNegotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permitsEnsure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniquesPosition Requirements:Proven working experience in construction managementAdvanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methodsExpert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant quality standardsUnderstanding of all facets of the construction processFamiliarity with construction management CPM software packagesAbility to plan and see the "big picture"Competent in conflict and crisis managementLeadership and human resource management skillsExcellent time and project management skillsBS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field a plusCAD software knowledge requiredCompensation:Salary is negotiable depending on experience, please note salary requirements when applyingMedicalBonuses15 Days PTOPlease read the qualifications for this position carefully.
