Energetic Nurse Practitioner is being sought to join a 6 physician practice of peripheral vascular surgery. Although experience in that specialty or in a cardiac/cardiac surgical practice is preferred, we are prepared to train the less experienced practitioner in the care of the vascular patient.
Duties will include evaluation and management of new and established patients in both the inpatient and outpatient areas. Outpatient responsibilities will include follow up evaluation and management of established patients and evaluation of new patients to the practice. Hospital duties will include coverage for the nurse coordinator of the practice.
This will require the need for independent thinking as well as working closely with the vascular physicians and interacting with the office-based nurses.
Although the practice of peripheral vascular surgery centers on diseases of the arterial, venous, and lymphatic system, the treatment options are myriad encompassing conservative management, endovascular care, and operative treatment of a broad array of clinical conditions. This leads to an exciting and stimulating medical career with terrific opportunities for personal education and satisfaction and subsequent career enhancement.
The Nurse Practitioner is an active member of the multidisciplinary team focusing and coordinating care for their departmental or disease centric specialty. The Nurse Practitioner coordinates the care of the population seen in their specific department and or center.
