Under limited direction, analyzes specific business requirements & systems design, and transforms user requirements into automated processes. Works on highly complex projects and provides technical direction to other personnel.
Analyzes user requirements to refine business processes and develops detail design proposals which include estimated time required to code, test and implement solutions of high complexity. Develops and/or modifies software to comply with business requirements documents the automated processes, modifications and data files.
Develops advanced programming language code, screen images, command procedure code and data files. Participates in or provides technical direction on: functional specifications, system test scripts and documentation, test specifications and general documentation, coding, debugging, documentation and testing of application programs, system flowcharts and logic diagrams describing existing and proposed application programs and systems.
Conducts reviews of completed system test results with users in preparation for oat. Assists less experienced programmers as needed.
May be responsible for many ongoing projects. Complies with all IS&T policies and procedures including the SOX mandated change-management procedure.
Bachelor's degree/equivalent in computer science, mis, or related discipline.
Four (4) years' experience in systems development.
Knowledge of engineering principles, applications analysis, development techniques, documentation techniques & source-code control is required.
Familiarity with Microsoft office suite, lotus notes preferred.
Candidates must possess good written & oral communication skills & be able to work well in a team environment.
Candidates must also have excellent problem solving, multi-tasking, customer service, organization & project management skills.
