The Kleinfelder Austin TX office is currently searching for an Engineering Technician to perform Materials Testing and Special Inspections on various projects in the metro-Austin area and other projects located throughout Central Texas.

The requirements for the position are described below.
NICET Level II Soils Testing Certification;
Two (2) to three (3) or more years of construction materials observation/testing experience;
Valid driver's license, clean driving record and ability to pass drug test required
Willingness to travel.Other desirable qualities of the candidate should include:
NICET Level II Concrete Testing Certification
Nuclear Density Training
Additional NICET or ICC Certifications
TxDOT Certifications in HMAC: Level 1A or 1B
Experience observing/testing earthwork cut/fill operations and foundation construction;
Experience performing rebar/concrete inspections;
Excellent written and verbal communication;
Willingness to work construction schedules which may include night shift and/or weekends;Ability to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email.
