09 MarIT Business Analyst 3 - Texas Health & Human Services Commission - Austin, TX
The Business Analyst is an Information Technology (IT) position and will provide business analyst skills for the maintenance and operations of the Childcare Licensing Automation Support System (CLASS).Additionally, the position will provide business analyst skills for system enhancements to coincide with mandates from the 85th Legislative session. This position is required to map requirements to business needs and assist with writing and executing test scripts.The Business Analyst must have strong communication skills, both orally and writing skills, to ensure all stakeholder requirements are collected and documented. The Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between functional analyst and developers and will work closely with the HHSC IT staff and other designated internal program staff.
The workers responsibilities and skills must include:
·Gathering business, functional and non-function requirements.
·Defining product themes, epics, user stories and product features
·Facilitating prioritization sessions for the product backlog.
·Facilitating sprint planning sessions to establish a sprint backlog.
·Documenting requirements and system design using approved agency formats.
·Being a creative thinker to solve application issues.
·Mediating business units that may have conflicting requirements.
·Assisting in the translation of business requirements into detailed technical specifications
·Facilitating and documenting AS-IS and TO-BE process flows
·Writing test cases and scripts to validate code is working as documented.
·Other duties as assigned
