To create an age appropriate learning program and a positive and engaging class environment that
addresses the academic and social-emotional needs of all students. Helps students attain identified skill and learning
targets and fosters each student's skills, knowledge, and ability for a successful learning experience. Establishes
effective relationships with students, parents, staff and community members to enhance learning opportunities.
Supervises classroom employees, students and volunteers. Monitors student discipline
through an appropriate classroom management program. Regular attendance in accordance with established work
Bachelor of Arts degree.
Advanced work in assigned subject matter preferred.
Valid Teaching License (K-12 or 5-9), with middle school endorsement for subject area, or eligible for licensure in these areas.
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs
Ability to plan and implement lessons based on school and supervisory union objectives and the needs and abilities of assigned students.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents; skilled in oral and written communication.
Demonstrated ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to perform duties with awareness of all supervisory union requirements and Board policies.
