Supportive Intervention Services is seeking part-time and full-time Mental Health and Intensive In-Home Counselors to add to our team! Supportive Intervention Services aims to promote positive mental health and to actively support individuals with mental illnesses, to enhance the quality of life.A Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) is a person in the human services field who is trained and experienced in providing psychiatric or mental health services to individuals who have a mental illness.Requirements: Bilingual in Spanish/EnglishBachelors or Master's degree from an accredited college in either Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Counseling, or Special EducationMust successfully complete CPR/First Aid TrainingCandidate must meet eligibility for employment through successful criminal and central registry checksRequired Work Experience: 1 year of work experience in fields related to Human Services, Social Work, or Special Education.Job Description: Intensive In-Home Counselor: The purpose of Intensive In-Home Counseling service is to aid and serve the mental health needs of the child. In addition, this service supports families to allocating extra services that may be needed such as educational, economical, medical, legal, and through Social Services. Intensive In-Home counselors build rapport with client's, provide one on one counsel, processing and discussing through issues, engaging in recreational activities, supporting with behavioral management.Mental Health Case Manager: The purpose of the Mental Health Skill Building Case Manager service to aid and serve adults with mental health needs through individualized training to enable individuals to achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the most appropriate, least restrictive environment. In addition, provide functional skills and appropriate behavior related to the individual's health and safety, activities of daily living, and use - of community resources. Assist with medication management, monitor health, nutrition, and physical condition.Qualified Mental Health Professional Responsibilities: Aid in advocacy of client rights and needs through contact with services as needed such as Social Services, Psychiatric Evaluations, Outpatient TherapyProvides direct service to client for 3 to 10 hours per case per weekMaintain and complete Individualized Service Plans, Monthly Reports, and Quarterly ReportsProvides parenting education, coping skills, problem-solving techniques, and interventions (behavioral or social) in the home and community as neededThe Intensive In-Home Counselor (QMHP-C) and Mental Health Case Manager (QMHP-A) positions are both full-time and part-time.
