VillageReach invites qualified French speaking candidates to apply for the position of Associate, Health Systems. The Associate position is based in the Seattle headquarters office of VillageReach and reports to the Senior Manager, Health Systems. The Associate, working in collaboration with global and Seattle-based staff, will support both the development of new business opportunities as well as existing programs. This position will play a key role in managing grants in pre-award phases, from identification of opportunities to development and submission of proposal materials. Additionally, this position will assist in the documentation of evidence and program learnings across existing programs in VillageReachâs portfolio across sub-Saharan Africa. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.
Provide support to health systems strengthening programs across VillageReachâs strategic areas and geographies, including, but not limited to, conducting needs assessments, developing reports, tracking milestones and deliverables, and supporting monitoring and evaluation efforts;
Coordinate production of program deliverables and communications materials including providing basic graphic design support, and ensuring time-sensitive deliverables are met;
Support assigned programs in documenting and sharing results and lessons learned in order to disseminate VillageReachâs experiences both internally and externally;
Develop PowerPoint presentations or other collateral for oral presentations, as needed, with strong attention to formatting, consistency, and graphic layout;
Other duties as assigned by the program and group leads.
New Program Development
Work closely with management to identify, develop and pursue new opportunities for VillageReach with a specific eye toward innovation opportunities;
Contribute to proposal and grant development including; conducting background research, generating new ideas, and writing proposal and grant narratives.
Manage multiple proposals/projects at a time and adhere to strict deadlines;
Ensure that proposal materials adhere to requirements specified in RFPs;
With support from management, oversee proposal teams to ensure that all members accomplish tasks on time to complete high-quality responses to funding opportunities.

Writing and analytical skills: Superb writing skills and the ability to assemble, distill and analyze all necessary information for proposal writing, reporting, and presentations. Strong grant-writing experience with a record of accomplishment in winning grants for non-profit organization is a must.

Education & Experience:A MPH, MPA or equivalent degree and at least two to five (2-5) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required;
Proficiency in data analysis, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing programs;
Other Qualifications:Established cultural competency in partnering with racial, cultural and linguistically diverse groups.
Demonstrated understanding of challenges with working in rural, underserved and low-income context; experience living in and/or working in a low-income country a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and comfortable in a fast-paced technical environment.
Strong oral and written communications skills in English;
Professional proficiency in written and spoken French required;
Ability to work collaboratively and collegially in a small and geographically dispersed team;
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks, problem-solve, and work under pressure.
Environment and Physical Demands:
VillageReach has no private offices, employees work in a shared, open environment with task and conference rooms accessible to employees for privacy and meetings. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
