Position Summary

MarqMetrix products and comprehensive solutions present a unique, disruptive opportunity in an established market.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling innovative technology to traditional outlets while aggressively developing new opportunities. Must be comfortable in the role of pioneer and establishing MarqMetrix as the standard for new markets moving well beyond the industry’s conventional applications.

The Director of Sales will oversee all Sales related functions for MarqMetrix, Inc. They will be an evangelizer in the market, a player-coach and a thought leader. They will take the lead in building an industry leading sales team and developing the revenue engine to meet our growth trajectory.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Meet revenue, growth and profit goals
Manage across a variety of existing account types, including: Direct, OEM, Distribution/Channel, Partner and Manufacturer’s Representatives

Grow identified key vertical markets, such as Bio-Tech

Develop innovative product outlets generating net-new revenue streams

Recruit and retain a high performing sales team

Qualifications & Requirements

As a player-coach, the Director of Sales will initially b e hands-on in every aspect of the sales cycle from developing collateral and presentations, to defining customer needs, to presenting in the customer C-Suite while recruiting and building a strong sales team.

Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue, growth and profit goals

History of recruiting, building high performing teams and ongoing talent development

B.S./B.A. in business, chemistry or equivalent; MBA is strongly preferred

Minimum of 10 years direct sales experience including 4 years of sales management

Success in spectroscopy or other technology markets

Strong analytical skills and the ability to implement complex selling strategies

Excel in working with financial reports, accurate forecasting, and key management metrics

Report regularly to the Executive Staff on customers, revenue and team development
The basics: Excellent communication skills, Superior relationship-building ability, Proficient with CRM and Microsoft Office, Ability to travel as extensively as needed, must have a valid passport
