Compass Health is currently looking for Chemical Dependency Professional's in Friday Harbor! As part of a multi-disciplinary therapeutic team, the CD Counselor provides chemical dependency services to adults and youth and their families. POSITION SUMMARY
Job Title: Chemical Dependency Counselor OR Chemical Dependency Professional Trainee
Program: 12000 - Chemical Dependency Services, San Juan County
Location: Friday Harbor
Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Wage: $15.57 - $34.59/hour, DOEREQUIREMENTSAA Degree in a Human Services related field and/or college credits (90 quarter / 60 semester) from an approved school. Current Washington State Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP) certification. Valid Washington State Driver's License required including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable. Must adhere to the belief that alcoholism and addiction are primary diseases and total abstinence is necessary for recovery, but willing to work with difficult patients to achieve this.Ability to work effectively with outside resources including managed care, educational systems, and probation departments. Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check, which may or may not include an additional search by DSHS.ABOUT US
