Remote Sr. GCP Cloud Integration Specialist

Taos is immediately hiring a

Remote Sr. GCP Cloud Integration Specialist to work to help us support a large-scale management consulting firm.

Who you are:

You are a self-motivated and performance-driven Cloud Integration Specialist with experience working with GCP. You have excellent written and verbal abilities that make you a persuasive and credible communicator. You can easily earn the trust of colleagues and senior management and have an appreciation for employees and end-users. You have an assertive side but always maintain a professional demeanor. You thrive in roles with a high level of visibility within an organization and are willing to take necessary actions to deliver on commitments.

What you’ll be doing:

●Evolving, scaling, productizing and supporting our cloud infrastructure.

●Providing technical leadership and understanding of topics relating to the secure and cost-effective use of GCP at scale.

●Active participation in design and implementation phases relating to GCP service migrations

●Troubleshooting and debugging, often in collaboration with various internal teams

●Performing root cause analyses and/or implementing appropriate engineering solutions to prevent or mitigate recurring incidents.

What you’ll bring with you:

●A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent

●10+ years relevant experience, preferably in high-volume and/or critical production service environments

●Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication within and between teams

●Strong programming skills, preferably in Python, and a desire to automate all the things

●Experience developing and deploying large scale distributed systems in GCP/AWS (hundreds to thousands of instances)

●Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies

●Solid understanding of Linux and the tooling around Linux
