Triad Engineering, Inc. has an immediate need for a full-time Environmental Project Geologist in our Morgantown, WV office.

Duties assigned may take place in the office, laboratory and/or field
T he preferred candidate will possess:
3-5 years of professional experience HAZWOPER 40-hour certification
Perform assignments requiring the application of standard criteria, procedures and techniques Conduct surveys and field studies to gather geological data Prepare field and final soil boring logs Analyze material samples from the project field using a variety of collection techniques Gather soil samples and subject to geotechnical and/or chemical analysis Utilize maps, aerial photos, satellite imagery, geochemical surveys, GIS data and other sources to perform site analysis Compile survey information and data Analyze field data, aerial photographs, and satellite images Communicate with senior geologists through formal and informal reports Prepare reports and correspondence related to assigned projects Possess the ability to take a project from concept to final completion with occasional supervision Assist senior personnel with proposal preparation May occasionally attend meetings with clients or government agencies as needed May perform asbestos inspections and collecting of asbestos samples May perform air monitoring May perform lab testing on soil, rock or concrete samples Prospect, develop and maintain client relationships Strive to make each project profitable
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Geology, Geology or other appropriate discipline
3-5 years applicable professional experience
Must possess a valid driver's license Must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills Must be comfortable communicating with the public Must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office and relevant technical software required), including the ability to learn various types of company / client software Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments
Work is performed both in the office and in the field, which may include all weather conditions, construction sites and/or difficult terrain, and extensive standing and walking. The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry field equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must have the ability to see and smell; including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus.
