In its third decade of service, McKinley Architecture + Engineering is a full-service architectural and engineering firm that designs educational, commercial/retail, industrial, governmental and institutional buildings.MKA is growing and in need of a full-time Electrical Engineering Designer or licensed Electrical Engineer experienced in building, lighting and power systems to join their Wheeling team. In this position, the designer will use AutoCAD and Revit to produce drawings for a variety of projects. While training in the specifics of the work will be provided, this is not an entry-level position. MKA is seeking a qualified candidate that will be able to acclimate quickly and contribute to the fast-paced, team environment of their firm.Role & Responsibilities: Assist in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings, and for renovations and additions to existing facilities.Create and maintain project schedules.Interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical floor plans, section and elevations.Job Requirements: Three to five years of experience at an engineering or design firm.Proficiency in Autodesk Revit 2013 or higher.Proficiency in AutoCAD 2013 or higher.Have knowledge of building electrical and lighting design.Have knowledge of the NEC and energy codes.Have basic knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems.Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout the tri-state area (PA, WV and OH).Eligible to work in the U.S. and be able to provide proof of eligibility upon request.Skills & Key Traits: A strong technical background in a variety of different electrical systems.Ability to work independently.Ability to research issues and present solutions.Effective coordination and communication skills.Organized management of electronic server/ folder/file systems.Team player that can work under pressure on tight deadlines.Wages will be commensurate with the level of experience and education and/or certification.
