The Assistant Director plays a significant role on our management team by promoting a positive environment for our staff and residents. The Assistant Director will help to manage and oversee the paraprofessional staff and delivery of services to the residents. Ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in assisted living, knowledge of CBRF regulations, excellent organizational and communication skills, and ability to use basic computer software applications including Word and Excel.
Work with care staff and Director to ensure service implementation stated in individual's service plan.
Review 24-hour report and wellness monitoring, following up on noted concerns, and communicate to appropriate parties.
Work with area agencies to create a pro-active and collaborative relationship.
Build rapport with resident families through excellent communication and follow-through.
Help train, motivate, and develop staff to perform at their highest levels. Participate in hiring and training employees and maintain consistent schedule ensuring adequate staffing.
Facilitate and coordinate details related to move-ins including apartment readiness, completion of all required admission paperwork, updating of rosters, schedules and assignments and development of resident care card and medical record.
Participate in on-call rotation to ensure after-hours response to resident emergencies and physical plant problems and staffing needs.
Monitor the tasks needed to maintain the building and grounds in a state of good repair, cleanliness, and attractive appearance.
2 plus years of experience working in assisted living or Associate degree or higher in a related field. Ability to respond to resident needs and manage the complexities of the assisted living community.
