Director of Fan Engagement and Digital Media
Wisconsin, Madison

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Direct team’s fan development and community partnership initiatives.
o Develop and execute the team’s Community Relations to maximize ticket sales and fan engagement.
§ Work with team operations manager, coaches and players to coordinate player and mascot appearances
o Manage and promote supporters group relations in conjunction with assigned ticket sales representative
o Recruit, engage, develop and execute community partnerships that promote the team and help sell tickets with the following:
§ Social Groups
§ Cultural Organizations
§ Festivals
§ Schools
§ Entertainment organizations
§ Sporting organizations including the Madison Mallards and MAYSA soccer clubs
§ Civic groups
§ Retail organizationsDirector of Content Management responsibilities including:
o Digital Media Manager
§ Oversee and develop the design and direction of the team’s website, social media, video in context with team’s graphics, branding and marketing messages.
§ Execute website content creation including articles and video content that engages the public, sells tickets and promotes the team sponsors
o Oversee and execute the PR & Social Media efforts to engage traditional media and coordinate social media activities that promote the team and its sponsors and sells tickets.Direct the team’s traditional and digital marketing, advertising and promotional efforts including:
o Advertising outlets such as newspapers, TV & radio stations and online outlets.
o Work with corporate partnership department to execute promotional aspects of corporate partnership programs to maximize exposure and ROI for sponsors and team ticket sales.
o Responsible for the creation and implementation of all marketing initiatives
o Monitor/evaluate the activities and products of other local organized sports teams.Recruit, hire and manage two or more interns to assist with marketing, community relations and digital media tasksOther duties may be assigned, as needed
Summary: Manage marketing, promotional, fan development and digital media activities as well as handling duties personally or through subordinates. Primary supervisor for marketing and operation coordinators, interns and the day to day management of their activities.
BA/BS degree required.Experience in the sports industry required, preferably in marketing or digital media.
Candidates with sports marketing and communications experience will be strongly considered.
Proficiency with website development, event management and marketing is necessary.
This position will report to the Managing Director.
