As part of the Fire Detection Products Marketing team for detection products, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing programs across the globe.
What you will do
The Marketing Manager will work closely with Marketing Communications Managers, Product Managers and Sales Team Members to support the development and implementation of effective international marketing programs that drive brand and product awareness and support business expansion and growth goals for the Global Fire Detection business.
The Marketing Manager will conduct market research, market and competitive analysis and gather customer and market requirements. The role will also champion product introductions and enhance overall brand reputation for Johnson Controls’ fire detection product brands in key markets.
Lead and execute strategy, planning and implementation of integrated channel marketing programs, including new product launches, event management, social media campaigns, PR and the creation of exciting marketing collaterals suitable for varied target audiences.
Support new product introduction projects. Includes development of strategy and budgets, the development and execution of launch materials and support for launch activities.
Define strategy and support execution of events such as international trade shows, local seminars and customer-specific promotions and events.Assist and support sales team initiatives and help drive growth in key markets.
Assist where necessary in the development of marketing budgets and the creation of annual marketing communications plans.
Manage all activities against agreed budgets as a steward of JCI assets.Work closely with Marketing Communications Managers, Product Managers, and Sales Team members to support the business goals of growth, brand support, and product introductionProvide strategy and strategic direction for advertising and promotional material, technical materials, sales support tools and copywriting. Help ensure brand compliance across all creative material and product lines.
Support the implementation of integrated marketing campaigns that will make an impact, build brand reputation and drive measurable enquiries and sales leads.
Help integrate global messaging into trade shows customer events, media and market facing material, in alignment with strategic objectives.
Support regular customer and market communications via e-newsletters, maintaining mailing databases and purchasing advertising media space lists for direct mail campaigns, including target market programs.Actively participate in new product development and launch meetings. Define and execute launch strategies and drive the creation of launch support materials.Have a collaborative approach; actively share best practices with the global marketing team.

Qualifications
What you need

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field, with some project management experience.3 plus years in experience in marketing in a B2B environment supporting channel partners in the electronic or technology industry.
Experience in product management for an electronic or technology related product line a plus.
Other skills:
Candidate must possess excellent communication skills and have capacity to engage with cross-functional teams to communicate confidently and effectively in order to achieve marketing goalsCandidate must have exceptional time management and planning skills. Be able to prioritize multiple projects often with varied deadlines.Public speaking and presentation ability. Willingness and ability to address large crowds in person and via webcasts.
Candidate must be a fast learner and quick developer, be confident and willing to learn about the business and understand our approach to the marketCandidate must have technical acumen and an ability to understand and explain the architecture, operation, application and benefits of complex electronic fire detection systemsCandidate must understand how to develop key messages and use varied communications techniques to suit the needs of specific target audience groups.Highly motivated candidate must have capacity to work with diverse groups and multi-task with multiple projects and requests concurrently.
Willingness to travel both within the US and internationally approximately 20% of the time.
