The Strategic Planner develops and presents strategic marketing recommendations for clients and internal teams across a range of industries addressing a wide array of marketing challengesResponsibilities: :
Clearly articulate the question we are helping the client answer
Identify, recommend, design and implement primary research to understand out clients' businesses, their brands, their industries, their competitors and their audiencesTrack down, assess and distill secondary research relevant to the task at handAnalyze data and distill research to develop well-informed strategic plans for clientsWrite compelling and inspiring creative briefs and work hand-in-hand with Creative teams to bring clients' brand stories to lifeCollaborate with clients, internal account managers and other team membersWork with the media and digital teams to help activate the strategy in resonant waysGenerate original ideas with other members of the teamPresent findings to senior staff members and clientsIdentify potential problems and devise ways to rectify themCoordinate with senior members of staff to receive feedback and create improvements to strategiesWorks under direct supervision of a more senior member of the Strategic Planning team
Likely 3-5 years professional experience. Must have strong digital strategy experience in addition to account planning experienceProven work experience in an advertising, communication and or a PR firm in a similar role. Or applicable experience in a related fieldPossesses confidence and good interpersonal skillsPresentation and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated creative thinkingA curiosity of marketing opportunities, human behavior, and the latest technological capabilities in the industryThe ability to cope with pressureEffective analytical and organizational abilitiesDetail-orientated
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with Keynote a plusBachelor’s Degree preferred. Relevant areas of study: Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Psychology or Sociology. Other degrees considered with aligned experience
