Account Specialist

Primary Responsibilities
Research the priorities of universities to identify the right contacts and most effective messaging to gain interest
Create and send high quality content to key contacts at universities
Email and cold call into universities to generate interest
Obtain on-site and web-based appointments for our Account Executives, Chief Sales Officer and Chief Executive Officer
Manage prospect database and maintain accurate records
Actively participate in sales meetings
Assist with client contract renewals
Occasionally attend conferences
Other duties as assigned
Ability to conduct thorough research
Skilled at crafting compelling, persuasive messages in writing and verbally
Ability and desire to acquire and apply knowledge of new technology
Manage time effectively and adapt to quickly changing priorities
Team player who works productively with a wide range of people
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment
Organized with high attention to detail
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree with a major in a business-related field or computer science
Basic understanding of technology systems and web applications
Knowledge of higher education preferred
