Peoples State Bank is looking for a qualified Marketing Intern that will be responsible for all administrative tasks within the marketing department as well as completion of projects and assists with the implementation of marketing programs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform full range of duties pertaining to the marketing function, including, but not limited to receiving and answering both in-person and telephone inquiries from customers, prospects, and vendors.
Copy, route, and make changes as directed for the editing and proofing of marketing materials. Follow-up on any questions concerning copy changes.
Assists with marketing and PR projects, such as campaigns, promotions, social media, and media coordination.
Preparation and distribution of various marketing reports, brochures, and press releases.
Assists with planning and executing events including bank seminars, open houses, and community events.
Processes and follows up with community donation requests.
Assistance with writing internal marketing communications such as newsletter articles.
Upon direction, coordinate the ordering and inventory of promotional items, supplies and other vendor services. At times, this may include delivery or pick up of materials for the marketing/sales department.
Perform other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, Education and Experience:
Undergraduate student who is majoring in Marketing, Sales, Communications, or Advertising.
This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Must have the ability to operate the following equipment: telephone, copy machines, PC and printer.
Must have working knowledge of the following software programs: word processing, spreadsheets, database management and presentation.
