Head of Finance - Global Trading Company

As Head of Finance, you will lead the company's end-to-end finance function, covering financial reporting, taxation, treasury, budgeting, controls and team development. You will provide reliable financial oversight and practical guidance to support management decision-making within an established multinational business.

Our client is an established multinational company with a strong presence in Indonesia. As part of its continued organisational development, the company is seeking an experienced finance leader to strengthen its financial operations, governance and leadership capabilities.

Description

As Head of Finance, your main responsibilities will include:

• Lead end-to-end finance, accounting and taxation activities, ensuring clear and reliable financial oversight.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual closing, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, foreign exchange exposure and other treasury-related activities.
• Lead tax compliance activities, including corporate tax filings, indirect tax matters, transfer pricing and tax audits.
• Coordinate annual budgeting and periodic forecasting while monitoring performance against agreed plans.
• Review management reports and financial data to provide practical insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, approval processes and standard operating procedures.
• Oversee credit control, receivables and working capital performance.
• Manage external audit processes and coordinate with relevant professional advisers.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and regional counterparts on finance-related matters.
• Drive improvements across finance processes, systems and reporting practices.
• Lead, develop and mentor the Finance, Accounting & Tax team, including building longer-term succession capabilities.
  
  

Profile

A Successful Head Of Finance Must Have

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. Master's degree and certifications such as CPA, CA and Tax Brevet are highly preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience across finance, accounting and taxation, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or senior leadership position managing a sizeable team.
• Big 4 or public accounting firm background.
• Previous end-to-end Finance, Accounting & Tax experience within a multinational trading, distribution, manufacturing or similarly complex business environment.
• Proficiency in SAP, Oracle or another established ERP system.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, and strong stakeholder management capabilities.
