Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures for construction projects to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Establish quality control checkpoints and inspection criteria for all phases of construction activities.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify workmanship, materials, and compliance with quality standards.
- Review contractor and subcontractor quality documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Perform detailed inspections and tests on construction materials, equipment, and installations to verify conformance with approved designs and specifications.
- Monitor construction processes to identify potential quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Document non-conformance reports (NCRs) and work with project teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Maintain accurate records of QA/QC inspections, tests, and audits.
- Prepare quality reports, summaries, and documentation for project stakeholders, including progress reports and quality metrics.
- Ensure all documentation complies with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Provide guidance and training to construction teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Coordinate with third-party inspectors and testing agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
- Monitor and analyze QA/QC performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in QA/QC practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Certification in Quality Management (e.g., CQM, CQE) may be advantageous.
- Proven experience as a QAQC Engineer in construction / data centre projects, preferably with knowledge of MEP.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in quality control testing and inspection techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards (ISO 9001, ASTM, etc.), and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
