Job Summary:

The Service Engineer will oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of valve systems at a project site in Palembang. This role includes supervising installation activities, conducting troubleshooting, and ensuring all systems meet operational standards. The Service Engineer will work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Supervise the installation and commissioning of valve systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
2. Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic activities to resolve any issues with valve performance and ensure proper functionality.
3. Provide on-site technical support and guidance throughout the installation, testing, and maintenance phases.
4. Coordinate with contractors, project teams, and clients to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
5. Perform inspections and tests on valve systems to verify that they are operating according to specifications.
6. Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance in all installation and service activities on-site (QHSE & K3L).
7. Document service activities, including troubleshooting logs, corrective actions, and recommendations, in detailed reports.
8. Train and supervise junior technicians or contractors as needed, providing technical guidance on valve installation and maintenance.
9. Maintain and uphold the company’s reputation by providing excellent service and representing the company professionally in all interactions.
10. Maintain and manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment required for valve servicing to ensure they remain in good working condition.
11. Actively seek opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency in service and maintenance activities.

Job Qualifications:

1. D3/S1 degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
2. 0-5 years of experience in service engineering, with specific expertise in valve systems and troubleshooting.
3. Strong technical knowledge of valve installation, commissioning, and maintenance processes.
4. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues in industrial valve systems.
5. Good physical health to perform duties effectively in a project site environment.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
7. Basic English proficiency, both spoken and written, with the ability to engage in basic conversations.
8. Strong teamwork abilities and willingness to collaborate with diverse teams on-site.
9. Hardworking and proactive, with a strong commitment to problem-solving and task completion.
10. Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
