If you’re looking to start your career with the leader in the industry then you’ve come to the right place.IT Manager Job Summary: The IT Manager's role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, design, deploy, and maintain all IT-related functions of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. The IT Manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This person will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned): This is a “Hands-On Position” responsible for support and administration of all network servers, switches, storage, IT infrastructure, SQL databases, software and security.Supervises all IT related personnel, including but not limited to Help Desk, LAN Tech(s), Network Administrator(s), application & database developers, database administrators.Achieves IT operations operational objectives by maintaining current system; evaluating, recommending, testing and installing new technology; contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change, and improving overall client satisfaction.Meets IT operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.Determines IT operations service requirements by analyzing needs of users/departments; managing client expectations; prioritizing modifications to core system applications; resolves organizational conflict; developing and implementing documentation requirements for problem resolution.Interacts with internal customers on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers, or alternative solutions, in a timely manner.Builds and maintains vendor relationships, manages hardware & software purchases, and interfaces with SQL developers and client IT staff.Effectively communicates relevant IT-related information to superiors.Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.Serves as main point of contact on all IT-related matters for the company.Responds/acts on upper-management direction.Remains on the forefront of emerging industry standard practices and procedures.Requirements: Must have very strong knowledge & experience with: current Windows Server, & desktop, operating system installation, administration, troubleshooting & support; Multi-site Active Directory; Watchguard & Sonicwall; Backup & Disaster Recover; Microsoft desktop applications; IPSec & SSL VPN; VOiP; Switch Management, including VLANs, General Network Concepts, including protocols, ports, load balancing; General network security & IT best practices. Knowledge of MS Exchange Server, SQL Server development and Administration, and general programming concepts is a plus. General Skills/Qualifications: Network Design, Implementation, Administration & Maintenance, Building Relationships, Conflict Resolution, Project Management, Budget Development, Process Improvement, Network Hardware Configuration, Programming Experience
