South Carolina MENTOR, a partner of The MENTOR Network, provides services for children, adolescents and teens with social, emotional and behavioral challenges as well as other complex needs. Through our wide range of quality programs, including Therapeutic Foster Care and Behavioral Health Services, we provide individualized therapeutic programming not only to the youth we serve, but their families as well.

Part Time Counselor

  Help guide children we serve to their fullest potential while in the comfort of their homes and ensure the quality of care delivered

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct children and family therapy

  
  


• 
  

  Support the development and implementation of service plans

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor adherence to treatment plans

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in the review and matching of new children served

  
  


• 
  

  Build and maintain positive relationships with personnel from referring/collateral agencies

  
  


• Conduct educational sessions for children served, families, and foster parents

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Master's Degree in human services field

  
  


• 
  

  Three years of experience

  
  


• 
  

  Licensed by the state of South Carolina as one of the following: LMSW, LISW, LPC, LPC-A, LMFT

  
  


• 
  

  Valid driver's license in good standing

  
  


• 
  

  Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly

  
  


• 
  

  A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance

  
  


• 
  

  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  
  


• 
  

  A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
