Position: Registered Nurse
Location: St. Vincent's St. Clair – Pell City, AL
Shift Details: Full Time Night Shift – 7p to 7a – 3/12 hour shifts per week to include every other weekend.
Experience: One year of nursing experience preferred- One Year of ICU experience preferred.

Ascension St. Clair is a private 6 bed Intensive Care Unit. It is common to have a wide variety of patient populations with multiple comorbidities ranging from respiratory, cardiac, sepsis as well as fresh post op patients which may require hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators and vasoactive drips. In the ICU, you will be trained to detect medical issues before they become a problem, so that you can respond to those emergent situations quickly and confidently. Our average nurse to patient ratio is 3:1 with some patients requiring 2:1 care. At St. Clair, you will be joining a motivated, energetic staff and will be introduced to a team environment.
What You Will Do
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- One or more of the following:
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
